Low internet speed hit submission of online bills badly

Srinagar, April 19 (KNS): The government employees working from their homes in Kashmir due to Corona virus threat on Sunday alleged that they are facing huge inconvenience in absence of the high speed internet.

Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), employees said that finance department has issued an order Vide No. 139-F of 2020 dated 01.04.2020 implemented from 15.04.2020 viz online submission of bills in Treasuries through IT enabled "JK PaySys" the employees of various government departments of Kashmir to submit the bills online in 15 days span of time but due to poor internet service they are unable to complete the online bills.

They said submission of online bills is a welcome step but it needs high speed internet to submit the document and it is becoming impossible to complete the work before the time the finance department has given. An employee of finance department wishing not be named said it is impossible to complete the work till the government has provided time. He said we are facing trouble to face in absence of high speed internet.

He added that social distancing is also getting affected as we are compelled to call some necessary manpower for completion of task.

Another employee said that they are unable to open the "JK PaySys" due to low speed internet and said they are getting irritated when their work is getting halted due poor internet speed. (KNS)
