Srinagar December 15 (KNS): People of Makhdoom Sahib area of Central Kashmir’s Srinagar district continue to suffer due to lack of designated parking slot for devotees, locals, causing frequent hindrances in smooth flow of traffic.
We have been raising the demand for time and again with authorities to expand the parking facilities at Makhdoom Sahib area, but administration is not paying attention to our cries.
“We have been running pillar to post for setting up parking facility here in Makhdoom Sahib. Due to lack of parking, our business has been affected,” says a local resident.
“Designated parking slot here is important for the convenience of locals as well as visitors to avoid forcing people to park their vehicles on roadsides,” he said.
Another resident said that, J&K WAQAF Board has around land of 82 Kanals, out of that the administration can use few of it for parking purpose, he said.
Locals demanded that authorities should work on the identification of place to be designated as parking spaces in Makhdoom Sahib.(KNS)
