Srinagar April 16 (KNS): The Geogology and Mining department Kupwara has ordered the suspension of mining activities across the district Kupwara due to the current flood situation.
The order, a copy of which is with Kashmir News Service (KNS), states that mining activities in district Kupwara are hereby suspended until further notice with immediate effect, considering the potential damage to property and human life due to continuous rains, which have already caused damages to several structures in Kupwara.
It is worth noting that the persistent rainfall has already caused damage to numerous structures in Kupwara.(KNS)
