Srinagar, Dec 9 (KNS): The Kashmir Trade Association (KTA) is fervently seeking rehabilitation measures for six shopkeepers whose properties were engulfed in a destructive blaze in the Batmaloo locality of Srinagar.
The incident occurred in the early hours, around 2:34 am, resulting in significant damage to at least six shops situated in a single-storey shopping line.
President of the Kashmir Traders Association, Aijaz Shahdhar, has emphatically urged the administration to step in and provide compensation for the affected shopkeepers. Shahdhar highlighted the dire need for swift action to assist those who have suffered losses due to the unfortunate fire incident.
Shahdhar said that KTA is actively engaging with the authorities to ensure that the affected individuals receive adequate support in terms of rehabilitation and financial assistance.
