Srinagar, Apr 02 (KNS): Kashmir Sewa Sangh, a prominent social organization, honored the pilot and crew of IndiGo Flight 6E6125 for their extraordinary courage and quick thinking during a harrowing experience in the skies.
 
The felicitation ceremony took place at Srinagar Airport, celebrating the valor of the crew members who faced challenging weather conditions while ensuring the safety of all passengers onboard.
 
Pertinently the IndiGo Flight No. 6E6125, departed from New Delhi bound for Srinagar on February 19, 2024 at 05:25 pm, however, it encountered severe weather conditions en route, leading to a precarious situation where the aircraft struggled against powerful storms. Passengers onboard, including prominent figure Baba Firdous, experienced tense moments as they braced themselves for the worst, with many resorting to prayers and recitations of holy verses.
 
Captain Shivaz Jhanji (IGA 13040) demonstrated exceptional skill and composure in navigating the aircraft amidst turbulent weather, assisted by First Officer Akshay Wadhwa (IGA 36754) and the vigilant crew comprising Lead Cabin Attendant Aarti Shukla, Cabin Attendants Gayathry Vinod, Lakshmi Singha, Taniya Joshi, and Rashmitha M. Their coordinated efforts and adherence to safety protocols ensured that the flight successfully weathered the storm and landed safely at Srinagar Airport.
 
Baba Firdous, Chief of Kashmir Sewa Sangh, and the passengers on the flight expressed profound gratitude for the crew's professionalism and heroism, stating that the experience was akin to a rebirth for them and their fellow passengers.
