Kohinoor Music Academy inaugurated in North Kashmir

Srinagar, October 9 (KNS): Kohinoor Music Academy, was inaugurated on Sunday at Sheeri Baramulla fulfilling a dream of hundreds of young talented artists of North Kashmir. 

The academy was inaugurated by former MLA Sangrama  Shoaib Lone, DDC Narwaw, Er. Razia along with Principal GDC Boys Baramulla Tariq Ahmad Chalkoo and promising musician and singer Suhail Mohidin. 

On the occasion Shoaib Lone said that music is not merely an art, but a pathway to connect with society, nature and emotions. 

Suhail Mohidin said, "Here, we shall exercise every effort for preservation and conservation of Indian traditions of music. We will impart training and education in Hindustani as well as popular forms of music besides  an opportunity to learn several instruments which will also be available in this academy."

While expressing their views, young musicians pledged to primarily perform at every nook and corner to make Jammu and Kashmir drug free.

Artists of Kohinoor academy presented a some mesmerizing chorus on the occasion.
Among others, Bollywood actor Umar Khan and Rapper Ashu were also present on the inaugural ceremony.(KNS)
