KNS impact: Nowgam gets separate electricity feeder, after hectic efforts

Handwara, Feb 18 (KNS): Taking strong note of Kashmir News Service (KNS), the authorities on Saturday separated the Nowgam feeder of grid station Audoora in the Qalamabad area of Handwara.

The separate feeder for scores of Mawer Villages was the long-pending demand of people in the area, which was fulfilled yesterday by PDD officials.

As per the PDD official, "The Electricity Department changed the Nowgam Fielder of Grade Station Audoora Qalamabad to 6.3 MVA, which was earlier at 10.3 MVA."

He said that most of the time there was a problem of load shedding in this field, but now the electricity department has changed these fields and moved to another field.

Also, the department of electricity team, in which Executive Engineer KPDCL Division Shamim Ahmad and Assistant Executive Engineer KPDCL Sub-Division Langate
Javid Ahmad Saraf, Assistant Engineer Sub-Division Langate Mohd Shafi Wani, Junior Engineer Nowgam, Bashir Ahmad and Inspector Ab Karim Dar Inspector Saleem Ahmad Nowgam and his team.

The Electricity Department requests that all the people coming under the Nowgam feeder use electricity in a legitimate way; people use three times more electricity than the agreement customers of the Electricity Department have on this field.
 
If the problem of load shedding occurs again in Nowgam Field, the people will be responsible, and the department will have no option but to increase the electricity bill again.

The people of the area have hailed the department's action, saying the feeder was defunct most of the time, especially in the winters.(KNS)
