KNS Impact: Health department seeks explanation from doctors over absence from duties at Pattan hospital

Srinagar, Feb 17 (KNS): Deputy Secretary Health and Medical Education Jammu and Kashmir has asked Director Health Kashmir to seek detailed report and explanation from doctors and paramedics found unauthorisedly absent during their duties at Trauma hospital Pattan. 


The development comes a day after KNS carried a news report regarding unauthorised absence of doctors and paramedics from their duties at Trauma hospital.

Taking note of the news report, the authorities have sought explanation and detailed report within 3 days in this regard.  

“I am directed to invite your attention towards the subject doctors/paramedics on duty, who were reportedly not attending
cited above and advise you to call an explanation from the their professional obligations, resulting in their unauthorized absence from duties and leading to an alleged disruption in healthcare services at the Trauma Hospital Pattan, Baramulla,” reads the order. 

It added that a detailed report in this matter may be furnished within 3 days positively to enable this department to take further appropriate necessary action as per rules. (KNS)
