Sopore Aug 10 (KNS) : A day after a news item was carried by the news agency - Kashmir News Service regarding the collapsed drainage at Neharpora locality in Sopore town, with locals allege of using substandard material during construction, the damaged work has been repaired by the concerned.
Locals while talking to the Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent thanked him for highlighting the issue, says the department was not paying any heed towards the matter despite being apprised of the issue several times.
Earlier on Tuesday, a news report was carried wherein locals were alleging that the drain collapse bears reflects to the bad quality of work and material used by the contractors.
However, the department denies the allegations leveled by the local populace of using substandard material.
Meanwhile, the contractor told KNS that, the damaged work has been repaired. Adding that the said project was under construction and is expected to complete within weeks time.(KNS)
