KNS holds Annual workshop for editors, correspondents in Srinagar

Srinagar, July 17 (KNS): An Annual workshop for editors and correspondents affiliated Kashmir News Service (KNS) was held at Hotel Raddison in Srinagar on Sunday.

The workshop was presided over by founder and Editor-in-Chief of KNS, Muhammad Aslam Bhat, and was attended by all correspondents.

Team of editorial desk of the organization was also present on the occasion in order to give insights and address the queries of correspondents regarding several issues.

On the occasion, district correspondents shared their experiences and difficulties in news reporting from the peripheries.

Editor-in-chief, Mohammad Aslam Bhat said that correspondence's job is not an easy job, while an editor makes a good news report based on the information and details provided by a correspondent.

"Credibility has been an important goal of KNS and we have never compromised with it. We have never done any news or event without cross-checking the facts,” he said, while asking the reporters to first find out facts of any incident and when they are satisfied, only then contact the concerned authorities to record his/her statement regarding the issue.

He also stressed on the need to work in close coordination with the editorial desk, so as to be factual correct and produce a credible news item for the audience. (KNS)
