Rangit cricket team lifts tourney

Srinagar, Nov 24 (KNS): The Kashmir News Service cricket tournament held in Kulgam district concluded on Thursday and the final was lifted by Rangit cricket team by defeating Nagam 11.
32 teams participated in the tournament and the final match was attended by Deputy Commissioner Kulgam Talat Parvez, KNS Chief Editor Mohd Aslam Bhat, Auqaf members of the area, officials and hundreds of spectators.
Batting first, Nagam scored 70 runs in 16 overs, and Rangit achieved the target in just 12 overs without losing a wicket.
Speaking on the occasion, KNS Chief Editor said that sports activities keep youth fit and develop their overall well being.
He said that while participating in sports activities youth should not lose focus on education.
DC Talat Parvez said thanked the organisers and spectators for making the tournament successful, and announced the district administration will develop the playground for youth. (KNS)
