Srinagar, Sept 15 (KNS): Senior political leader and former Deputy CM Muzaffar Hussain Baig Friday expressed deep shock over the recent killings occurred in Anantnag gunfight, and termed it "unfortunate". He said incidents like Anantnag and Rajouri are detrimental for peace in Jammu and Kashmir.

Baig while speaking to KNS, expressed deep sorrow and pain over the tragic loss of police and army officers in Anantnag encounter. "This is tragic and heart breaking. We lost three young brave hearts in Anantnag and another two in Rajouri. What their families had gone through while shouldering coffin of their children. We can't express the situation in words," Baig said.

He said such incidents are aimed to derail prevalent peaceful atmosphere in Jammu and Kashmir.

Baig expressed deep sympathy and solidarity with the bereaved family members and prayed for patience and courage to the respective families in this hour of grief. (KNS)
