Kheer Bhawani Mela reflects Kashmir's pluralistic ethos: Altaf Bukhari

 Srinagar, Jun 20 (KNS): Apni Party president Altaf Bukhari on Saturday welcomed Kashmiri Pandits arriving in the Valley to participate in the annual Kheer Bhawani Mela, saying the occasion reflects Kashmir's centuries-old tradition of communal harmony and brotherhood.

 
In a statement, Bukhari extended his greetings to the devotees visiting the Kheer Bhawani Temple at Tulmulla in Ganderbal district and other revered places across Kashmir.

The Apni Party chief said the annual mela has consistently played an important role in promoting harmony, mutual respect and brotherhood among people belonging to different communities.
 
Bukhari expressed hope that the occasion would strengthen bonds among communities and contribute to an atmosphere of peace and stability in Jammu and Kashmir.
 
He also wished the devotees a successful pilgrimage and prayed for peace, prosperity and well-being for the people of the Union Territory. (KNS).
