Flays Congress’s seven-decade failure in empowering women

Jammu, Sept  20(KNS): Kavinder Gupta, a senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, congratulated the women of Bharat on the historic passage of the Women Reservation Bill in the Lok Sabha today with 454 votes and a two-third majority.

In a statement issued here today, the senior BJP leader expressed his support for the Women Reservation Bill and commended the BJP-led government, specifically Prime Minister Narendra Modi, for achieving what the opposition, especially the Congress, has failed to do in the past seven decades. He argued that the BJP's success in passing this Bill disproves the opposition's claims that the party only makes promises without taking any action.

Kavinder highlighted the BJP's fulfillment of its promises, including the construction of Ram Mandir and abrogation of Article 370. He applauded the BJP for reviving and restoring the rich ethos of Bharat through this legislation.

Gupta also criticized the Congress for attempting to take credit for the passage of the Bill. He pointed out that the Congress had failed to pass this law in the past seven decades, while the BJP has been actively pushing for it for quite some time. He blamed the Congress and its allies for obstructing the bill's progress in the past.

Furthermore, he expressed his optimism about the positive effects of the bill. He believed that with one-third women members in the new Parliament, the functioning of the highest temple of democracy will be both decent and efficient.

Kavinder drew a parallel between the presence of women in households and their positive influence on creating a respectful and enjoyable environment. He expressed his hope about the prospects and opportunities that this Bill opens up for the women of Bharat.(KNS)
