Kashmiri students stuck in Rajastan demand return to valley


Srinagar, April 16 (KNS): A group of 276 Kashmiri students who were kept in quarantine facility at Jaisalmer Rajastan have started fast unto death demanding their return to Kashmir.
According to Kashmir News Service,these 276 students from Kashmir, who were studying in Iran, and were evacuated in the wake of outbreak of Covid-19 pandemic were kept in quarantine facility at Jaisalmer, Rajasthan. Most of these students were pursuing MBBS and other courses in Iran, one of the worst hit countries of Covid-19.
"All the students are on fast unto death from yesterday as they have been told by the army authorities at jasalmier that the state government is not interested to have your evacuation and that's why they been kept in 41 degrees of temperature at Rajastan," a student from Jaisalmer told KNS over phone.
He added that, "The mental health of these students is fragile and God forbid if anything untoward takes place,this would end up in a serious problems for the government."
Notably, these students have completed the quarantine period on 29th of March and are waiting for their return to homes since the.
