Kashmir University Students Seek Resolution for Internet Connectivity Issues

Srinagar, June 21(KNS): The students of the University of Kashmir (KU) have voiced their concerns regarding the inadequate internet connectivity within the campus, significantly impacting their academic pursuits and hampering their ability to engage with the wider world.

The students have raised allegations that jammers have been covertly installed within the university premises, deliberately disrupting internet connectivity.

"It feels like we're isolated from the rest of the world. Limited internet access restricts our ability to explore educational opportunities, access research materials, and stay connected with the global academic community," Shshid Ahmad, a concerned student expressing the impact of poor connectivity on their intellectual growth

"Our academic performance is suffering due to the lack of proper internet connectivity. It's hard to keep up with online lectures and participate in virtual discussions when the connection keeps dropping," Mushtaq Ahmad, another student said.

"The alleged installation of jammers is deeply concerning. It raises questions about our right to access information and communicate freely. We hope the authorities address this issue promptly to ensure our academic and personal development is not hindered," Saleem Ahmad, a law student said.

Meanwhile, according to an official, no complaints have been received from students thus far. However, in the event of any issues arising, we will promptly address them.(KNS).
