Bandipora, July 26 (KNS): The residents of Kaloosa, Quilmuqam, Onagam, Turkpora and Mangnipora villages of Bandipora are up in arms against the Pradan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY) department for failing to upgrade the condition of road.
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), locals said that before three years work was stated on this road it is still pending and the department has failed to repair it.
They said that the 7 kilometer stretch of road from Kaloosa to Gurdal is in shambles and dotted with potholes, putting them to a lot of hardships.
Locals said that the distance that can be covered in 20 minutes is covered in more one hour owing to potholes all over the road.
Meanwhile, executive engineer PMGSY told KNS that the project will be completed this year with an estimated cost of 7.49 crores and black topping will also be done. (KNS)
