Kadfeen urges Govt to ensure safety of Kashmiri outside JK

Srinagar October 16:(KNS) Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary has urged the Jammu and Kashmir government to ensure safety of Kashmiri students and youth earning livelihood outside, stating that recent episode in Delhi could act as an eye opener about how wrong the perception about the people of Kashmir is being manufactured.

Kadfeen said that the episode about the landlady in Delhi asking a Kashmiri tenant to vacate his flat amid the objectionable words used against him is deeply worrying and condemnable. He said it is ironic that on one hand Kashmir is considered as a most hospitable place in the entire country with tourists and people hailing from other states treated here as guests while the people of Kashmir are viewed with the eyes of suspension.

Kadfeen said that the Jammu and Kashmir government must prioritise the safety of the people of Kashmir valley in other states particularly when during the coming winter period majority of the Kashmiris go to various parts of the country to earn livelihood.

He said that the administration here should take up the issue with the government of India so that no longer any incident of discrimination is meted out against the people of Kashmir anywhere in the country.(KNS)
