On World Press Day, Today whole world is celebrating the freedom of press and media but unfortunately Kashmir is relagated to 2g internet and its journalists are harassed for fair journalism that too in these tough times Senior PDP leaderRouf Bhat expressed surprise that when media and journalists need appreciation and solidarity but unfortunately here media is subjected to confinement & unnecessary baricades. when people need fast and efficient information to fight the dreadful disease, its consequences, they have been deprived of the high speed internet which amounts to sheer injustice.
In a statement issued on the occasion of World Press Day, Bhat expessed anguish that on one hand tall claims of freedom of press are made but on the other hand Kashmiri Journalists of diverse fields are harrassed on one or the other pretext.
