Mr Fayaz Ahmad Shah Worthy Zonal Education Officer Zone Singhpora Kalan was the Guest of honour on the occasion, besides District President JKTF Baramulla Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah,Mr Altaf Hussain Bhat District organizer JKTF Baramulla, Head of the institutions, and a large number of delegates, Teachers, renowned educationists and many civil society members also graced the occassion with their august presence.

 

The function began with the recitation of the Holy Quran recited by Mr Zahoor Ahmad Wani followed by recitation of Naat-i-Nabi(SAW) by a great religious scholar Mr Syed Mohd Muzaffar Qadri Sahib and was followed by a welcome speech by Sajad Ahmad Mir Vice President JKTF Singhpora Kalan.

 

On the sidelines of the function Zonal Education Officer Mr Fayaz Ahmad Shah while interacting with media fraternity said it's great moment for me to attend such a marvelous function of Teachers and added that teachers have a responsibility to transform a society by moulding the students in a right direction. Referring to Mr Mohammed Rafique Rather he said I have heard alot about Mr Rather sahib who has had a great service as a teacher and as a stalwart trade union leader of J&K. He further said that he personally loved his sincerity, dedication, commitment to the employees fraternity of the state of J&K, though I got a less chance to interact with him but i found his contribution to the employees fraternity in general and the employees of the education in particular is unmatched and praiseworthy.

 

Zonal President Mr Pervaiz Ahmad Dar while presenting his views on the occasion counted the achievements , dedicated and unblemished service's of Mr Rafique Rather who rendered his 32 years of service for the welfare of students, employees and teaching community. He also appreciated the role and selfless services of Mr Rather sb in uplifting the dynamism of Trade Union by his vast experience and said his tenure as President EJAC, General Secretary & Chairman of JK Teachers Forum will be remembered for many glorious achievements and role in safeguarding the honor,dignity and rights of employees.

 

Speaking on the occasion District President JKTF Baramulla Mr Ishfaq Ahmad Shah said that Mr Mohammed Rafique Rather has always remained at the forefront in highlighting the issues & concerns of the employees of J&K and said he worked tirelessly during the period of 32 years of his service.

 

The other speakers highlighted the rich contribution and hailed the qualities and the character of Mr Mohammed Rafique Rather for his outstanding service career of 32 year's, as a teacher, and a great unparalleled Trade Union Leader of J&K.

 

Speaking at the ceremony, Mr Mohammed Rafique Rather recalled his long journey in the teaching profession and as a Trade Union Leader which began almost thirty two years ago.

 

Rafique Rather in his eloquent address stirred the head, heart and emotions of the audience as he was speaking in his home block. He narrated the initial days of his trade union career and the hardship he faced.

He said I had always try to fulfill the expectations of the employee's of J&K and these years were the most eventful, enlightening and energizing years of his life.

He said, I am leaving behind a team that is future-ready and I am sure there will be more success stories from this organization in the coming months and years. He also urged young employees to come forward, take lead & fight for the cause in safeguarding their honor and rights.At last he thanked all the cadre of JK Teachers Forum zone Singhpora Kalan for organising such a marvelous function in his honor and love.

 

Others prominent who spoke during the function were Amina Zargar, Farooq Hussain Dar, Tahir Ahmad Sofi, and Pervaiz Ahmad Famda.

 

The proceedings were conducted by Mr Mohammed Eqbal Kanal Spokesperson JKTF Singhpora Kalan where as Azmat Haroon Cheif Patron JKTF Singhpora Kalan presented vote of thanks to the all guests who graced the occasion with their presence.(KNS)
