JKPM demands completion of construction work for Anantnag shopping complex

Anantnag, Dec 09 (KNS): J&K Peoples Movement (JKPM) has expressed serious concern over the inordinate delay in the completion of the Anantnag Shopping Complex project.

In a statement issued to KNS, JKPM Vice President Solicitor Syed Iqbal Tahir said that the construction of the commercial complex was started by Urban Local Bodies back in 2005, however, even after the passage of 15 years, the project is still awaiting completion.

Quoting media sources, Iqbal Tahir said that the abandoned complex had turned into a safe haven for drug addicts.

He questioned the government that despite taking token money from at least 130 shopkeepers, why the Urban Local Bodies Department has failed to complete the work.

He alleged that the present administration is not serious about the unemployment issues facing the youth. (KNS)
