Srinagar ,May 28 (KNS): Senior Leader Jammu Kashmir Apni Party and Former Legislator Rafi Ahmad Mir has demanded the constitution of permanent CAT benches at Srinagar and Jammu. Stating that it will be a step forward in ensuring access to justice.
In a statement issued to KNS, Mir said that for disposing service related matters in an expeditious manner it was imperative to have a permanent CAT bench both at Srinagar and Jammu. Mir while thanking the central government for the recent notification observed that the “amendment to this effect in the previous notification is encouraging for the litigants and the lawyers also, however we demand that Srinagar bench should be established as the notification only reflects Jammu as the seat of the tribunal, we hope further clarity regarding Srinagar bench from the government ”, Mir said. JKAP demands permanent CAT bench for Srinagar also, he added. (KNS)
