JK Group of Concerned Citizens welcomes Shah Faesal’s entry into politics

Srinagar, Jan 13 (KNS): “Group of Concerned Citizens, J&K, (GCC),” welcomes the entry of a person like Shah Faesal into politics. He deserves all laurels for his bold decision.
GCC is of the view that it is easy to be part of the crowd but tough to go against the wind, and notes with satisfaction, that Shah Faesal bade good bye to the comforts that would automatically and effortlessly come to him as part of an elite service and stepped into a world of uncertainty. This is not an easy job.
GCC salutes Shah Faesal for his courage, and wishes him all the best for his future plans, in the context of his declared intentions.
GCC is, further, of the view that politics, in the present context, needs good people. We need to see a combination of good and well meaning people, having the requisite competence, to join the process of governance, even as the people, in general, are engaged in seeking a political solution of the festering Kashmir issue. The current impasse has been bleeding both India and Pakistan, which have the potential of playing a major role in determining a world order, based on progress, with equity.
GCC is comprised of civil society members, across communities and regions, including jurists, former civil servants academicians, journalists, businessmen and social activists, namely, Jus (Rtd) Shabir Hasnain, Mohammad Shafi Pandit, Former Chairman J&K, PSC, Ghulam Rasool Sufi, Former Chief Information Commissioner, Abdul Wahid Qureshi, Former Vice Chancellor, GH Kango Former Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Anuradha Bhasin, Head of Kashmir Times, Nusrat Andrabi, Krishan Lal Kaul, Businessman, Masood Ahmad Shah, Businessman, Prof Nissar Ali, Academician, Abdul Rashid Khan, Former IGP, Rafiq Masoodi, Former DDG Prasar Bharti, Masood Hussain, Artist, Feroze Ahmad, Former Census Commissioner from Ladakh, Krishi Pandit, GD Bakshi, Cooperative Activist and many others.” (KNS)
