Srinagar, June 13 (KNS): Apni Party Vice President Javaid Mustafa Mir on Tuesday voiced his profound concern  regarding the persistent power supply disruptions in Jammu and Kashmir. He said that the frequent power outages not only impose hardships on domestic consumers but also inflict significant losses on businesses and industries across J&K.

In his statement issued here, Mir said, "The complaints pouring in from almost all the areas of J&K suggest that frequent power curtailments are causing significant inconvenience and hardship to the common people, while traders and people involved in industries including tourism are subjected to huge losses due to the ongoing power crisis."

"It is sad to see that the concerned department is failing to provide an adequate power supply to the people in both metered and non-metered areas across J&K, and this situation brings about immense inconvenience to the people in all corners of the UT." He added.

Mr. Mir urged the LG administration to look into the matter and ensure the people get the required power supply uninterruptedly.

"With peak summer approaching, the authorities must realise the lack of electricity supply poses hardships for the people. And, it also inflicts significant losses on the business. I request the LG administration to look into the matter to ensure an adequate power supply across J&K." Mir said.(KNS)
