Srinagar, Jun 27 (KNS): The Indian Army's Vajr Division under the aegis of Chinar Corps organised "Jashn-E-Kupwara" at Galzoo Cricket Ground in Zangli on Saturday, a cultural extravaganza aimed at promoting communal harmony and showcasing the Valley's syncretic traditions.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation from local residents, civil administration officials, youth, students and Army personnel, reflecting the spirit of Kashmiriyat and the enduring civil-military bonhomie in the region.
Students of Government Degree College, Kupwara presented a thought-provoking theatrical performance highlighting the importance of women empowerment and raising awareness against the growing drug abuse in society. NCC cadets also put up an impressive display, underscoring the dynamism and commitment of Kashmiri youth.
The celebrations gained momentum with mesmerising performances by noted Sufi ensemble 'Strings of Kashmir' and 'Jhankar Band', whose soulful renditions captivated the audience and infused the evening with cultural splendour.

A key attraction was the "Know Your Army" exhibition, which offered visitors a rare glimpse into the Army's operational capabilities. The display featured artillery systems, communication platforms, drones and infantry weapon systems, drawing particular interest from the younger generation who eagerly interacted with soldiers to learn about the technological advancements.
The event concluded with participants lauding the initiative for seamlessly blending culture, social awareness and national integration.
