J&K Bank marks MSME Day with nationwide entrepreneurship outreach

 Srinagar, Jun 27 (KNS):  J&K Bank on Saturday organised a nationwide outreach campaign across its 35 operational clusters to mark International MSME Day, highlighting government-backed entrepreneurship schemes and the bank's financial products aimed at supporting micro, small and medium enterprises (MSMEs).

 
The awareness programmes were conducted through the bank's branch network in association with local trade bodies, business associations, Byopar Mandals and other recognised institutions, an official spokesperson said.
 
The campaign featured awareness sessions and interactions with business leaders, entrepreneurs and aspiring borrowers on the role of the MSME sector in employment generation, innovation and economic growth.
 
Bank officials showcased the lender's MSME products and customised financial solutions while providing information on various government initiatives, including Mission YUVA, Prime Minister's Employment Generation Programme (PMEGP), PM Vishwakarma, PM SVANidhi and Stand-Up India.
 
Participants were also guided on accessing institutional finance and converting business ideas into viable enterprises, the spokesperson said.

Chatterjee said the bank's participation in initiatives such as Mission YUVA, PMEGP and PM Vishwakarma reflected its commitment to promoting entrepreneurship and livelihood generation.
 
He said the bank was not only financing businesses but also supporting self-employment and strengthening the MSME ecosystem.
 
The bank also intensified its outreach to facilitate access to institutional credit and identify viable MSME proposals under various lending programmes, with special focus on Mission YUVA, the Emergency Credit Line Guarantee Scheme (ECLGS) and other MSME financing initiatives.
 
Business owners were informed about ECLGS 5.0, which aims to provide liquidity support and facilitate long-term business recovery for eligible enterprises.
 
According to the bank, officers and staff across all its 35 operational clusters participated in the campaign through awareness sessions and one-to-one interactions with entrepreneurs and business owners, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the MSME sector.(KNS).
