J&K again becoming favorite film tourism destination: LG Manoj Sinha


Srinagar, Aug 18 (KNS): Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday said that Bollywood days of 1980 are returning to J&K and the Union Territory is again becoming favorite film tourism destination.

Talking to reporters after inaugurating Pashmina serial at Zero Bridge in the heart of central Kashmir's Srinagar, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha said that Bolywood days of 1980 are returning to J&K again. "Almost two years ago the J&K government launched new film policy after discussions took place with all stakeholders. Today we see J&K is becoming favorite film tourism destination again," LG Manoj Sinha as per KNS said.

He said after the launch of new film policy over 300 movies and serials have been shot and today inauguration of Pashmina serial is part of the policy.

LG Manoj Sinha added the revival of film tourism in J&K will pave way to stabilized economy and livelihood opportunities to local youth. (KNS)
