Irfan Matoo distributed ration, essential commodities among people


Srinagar, May 23(KNS): Social activist Irfan Mattoo today distributed ration and other essential commodities to ashram,Nishat at Srinagar amid the nationwide lockdown implemented to contain the spread of novel Coronavirus.
In a statement issued to KNS reads, Ration for 7 to 10 families were handed over to Maharaj Krishan who is incharge of the Ashram.
Speaking on the occasion Mattoo said that the mankind is in distress due to the widespread infection by Coronavirus. “COVID-19 infection knows no boundaries of region, religion, community, ideology etc and hence we have to be together in this hour of crisis,” he said adding that in this time, countless people are facing hardships for the essential items like Ration, medicines etc. Central Government is taking all the necessary steps to meet the challenge of the hours.
Expressing concern over the coronavirus pandemic, Mattoo said that in these testing times, people need to cooperate with administration and should stay at home. He appealed to the people not to come out of their homes to contain the spread of virus, as without cooperation of citizens it would be hard to achieve desired results besides making Jammu & Kashmir free from COVID-19.(KNS)
