In heartwarming gesture, Muslims welcome group of Kashmiri Pandits in their native village

Tral, March 17 (KNS): In a heartwarming gesture, a group of Kashmiri Pandits who are presently living in Jammu were welcomed by their Muslim neighbours in their native village of Dever in Tral.


Additional deputy commissioner Tral S A Raina was also present on the occasion. 

The group was welcomed in a gesture of love and communal harmony and ago old tradition known as Kashmiriyat

Amid tearful eyes, the Muslim neighbours hugged and shook hands with Kashmiri Pandits.

ADC Tral said that this is the syncretic culture and Kashmiriyat is the identity and ethos which emerged stronger every time.

He further said people of both the communities have in personal capacity reclaimed Kashmiriyat, the idea of harmony and coexistence. (KNS)
