Baramulla, March 27:(KNS)  Forest Protection Force Gamma Unit Langate has recovered huge quantity of illicit timber from Braman forests during the search operation in Rafiabad Range of Langate Forest Division.
Speaking to KNS, Conservator of Forests North Kashmir Irfan Rasool said, "on a specific tip off received regarding dumping of illicit timber, a team of Forest Protection Force from K-10 gamma unit was constituted which included officials of Forest department also. The team was headed by Jehangir Khan Assistant Director FPF Langate. The team rushed to the spot and located illicit timber. On measurement, the quantity was found FIR sawn 54No.s equal to 116.5 cft. "

The timber was seized from co.15A Braman block, he added.
 A case has been registered and investigations have been taken up, he said.(KNS)
