Srinagar, Apr 07 (KNS): IGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar today advised media persons not to carry any live coverage of encounters and Law and Order situation.

"Don't interfere in professional and bonafide duty of police and security forces at encounter sites,." Advisory says.

The advisory also reads that “The freedom of speech and expression is subject to reasonable restrictions that should not violate other people's right to life guaranteed under Article 21 or putting the national security in jeopardy,” he said.

“Do not interfere in professional and bonafide duty of police and security forces at the encounter site. No operational content should be carried which is likely to incite violence or contains anything against maintenance of L&O or which promotes anti national sentiment,” IGP further said—(KNS)
