If elected, will urge govt to resolve Kashmir issue permanently: Yashwant Sinha

Srinagar, July 09 (KNS): Opposition Presidential candidate, Yashwant Sinha on Saturday that if he is elected, he will urge the central government to take all necessary steps to resolve the Kashmir issue permanently and restore peace justice, democracy and normalcy. 


Sinha, who is in Srinagar to garner support for himself ahead of the July 18 Presidential election, told reporters that his priorities would be to urge the government to take all necessary steps to resolve the Kashmir issue permanently.

He added that he would also urge the government to restore peace, justice, democracy and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir.

“There's no bigger patriot than these two leaders in the country,” Sinha said, while hailing former Jammu and Kashmir CMs, Dr Farooq Abdullah and Mehbooba Mufti. 

President election will be held on July 18 where opposition has pitched Yashwant Sinha against NDA's pick Droupadi Murmu. (KNS)
