Hope Amarnath pilgrims will leave with a message of peace, love & brotherhood: Dr. Farooq Abdullah

Pahalgam, June 22 (KNS): National Conference President and former chief minister J&K Dr. Farooq Abdullah Thursday hoped that Amarnath Yatra pilgrims will leave with a message of peace, love and brotherhood.

Dr. Farooq Abdullah was on a visit to Pahalgam where he took stock of the arrangements put in place by J&K administration for smooth and peaceful journey of pilgrims. "I am hopeful that pilgrims will leave with a message of peace, love and brotherhood," Dr. Farooq as per KNS told reporters.

"I am very grateful to Government for making better arrangements this year. I also visited the newly established hospital here where I felt there is a dearth of nursing staff. The government instead of bringing nurses from other hospitals should engage unemployed nurses temporarily for a period of two months. This process will not only provide employment to people but will ease out the inconvenience to pilgrims," Dr. Farooq Abdullah said.

To a query the NC President said "I hope the pilgrims will leave with the message of peace, love and brotherhood to outside J&K".

He also added that India belongs to everyone be it Hindu, Muslim, Christian, Sikh or others. He further added that Kashmiri Muslims are the first ones who always make arrangements for the smooth conduct of the Yatra. (KNS)
