Srinagar September 30 (KNS): J&K Peoples Conference senior leader Hilal Ahmed Rather on Thursday paid glowing tributes to renowned religious scholar and political leader Moulana Iftikhar Hussain Ansari on his 8th death anniversary.
Rather remembered Late Moulana Sahib as a noted religious scholar and visionary political leader who had dedicated his life in serving the downtrodden sections of the society and instilling in them enough confidence to fight and struggle for their genuine rights.
He also recalled the role of Maulvi Ansari in grooming young political leaders, his steadfastness in standing up for what was right and his unmatched adherence to principles and values that he cherished.
“Moulana Sahib’s extraordinary leadership qualities and contribution in the sociopolitical space of J&K is exceptional and unparalleled. He fought for the rights and dignity of his people till his last breath. I pray for his eternal peace”, he said.(KNS)
