Srinagar May 13 (KNS): Chairman People's Democratic Front ( PDF) Hakeem Yaseen has extended hearty greetings to the people especially Muslim Umma on the auspicious occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr.

 

In his felicitation message, Hakeem Yaseen has prayed that the " Eid -ul-Fitr may prove a harbinger of peace and prosperity in Jammu and Kashmir ".

While greeting people on an auspicious occasion, Hakeem Yaseen has appealed to people to observe the festival with utmost simplicity and austerity in view of the prevailing grim situation arising out of the Covid-19 pandemic. He has made a fervent appeal to the people to reach out to the poor and needy on this auspicious religious festival to enable them also to celebrate the Eid festival. 

 

PDF Chairman has said that Eid-Ul-Fitr is the day of happiness and day of compensation for those who keep fasts and offer prayers during the holy month of Ramadan to purify their soul and body.

He said given the prevailing situation due to Covid- 19 pandemic, people should extend compassion and a helping hand to the people in need to bring a  smile on their fallen faces. " On this Eid let us take a pledge to refrain ourselves from all extravagancies and help orphans, destitute and poor. 

 

Hakeem Yaseen has also asked the people to seek forgiveness from Almighty Allah and make special prayers for the eradication of the ongoing Covid pandemic.(KNS)
