Srinagar July 20 (KNS): Chairman J&K People's Democratic Front ( JKPDF) and Former Minister Hakeem Muhammad Yaseen has offered goodwishes to the people especially muslim ummah on the occasion of  the first month of the Islamic Calendar known Muharram -ul-Haram in Hijri.

In his message Hakeem Yaseen While extending his good wishes to the people on the start of new Islamic calendar -Muharram -,Ul-Haram , has said that the month  holds great significance for Muslims around the globe as Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companion offered supreme sacrifices of their lives during the month  for the cause of righteousness , Justice and truth. Moreover , the  month is observed as  most sacred since 622 A.D when  Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) migrated from Mecca to  Yathrib (now called Medina) to spread the message of  Islam. He said the 10th day of Muharram    named ‘Ashurah’. was the most sacred day which is being observed by all Muslims all over the world . Highlighting the importance of Muharam-ul-Haram ,Hakeen Yaseen added that it was the 1st day of Muharram when Ameer-ul- Moomineen ,Hazrat Farooqi Azam attained martyrdom.
 
 PDF Chairman has prayed that the month of Muharram-ul-Haram may prove  a time of forgiveness, mercy, and abundant blessings for the people especially the people of Jammu and Kashmir. He has urged the LG administration to 
 make  foolproof  Muhharam  arrangements  in various areas of Jammu and Kashmir including  shia dominated areas of  Budgam and Khansahib adding that  “Muhharum is one of the  holliest religious affairs, revered by Muslim Ummah to commemorate and observe  the martyrdom of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) and his companions ,,“ Hakeem Yaseen said urging that all the requisite  arrangements should be made to facilitate the people especially devotees of Hazrat Imam Hussain ( AS) to observe the  religious  event smoothly with full religious fervor and sanctity.(KNS)
