Srinagar, August 09:(KNS) Chairman People's Democratic Front (PDF ) Hakeem Yaseen has expressed deep shock and grief over the demise of Dr Mohammad Ashraf Mir , who died of COVID-19.
In a statement issued to KNS, Hakeem Yaseen while condoling demise of Dr Ashraf said that the people of jammu and kashmir are indebted to medical fraternity which was fighting dreaded Coronaviru as frontline warriors at the cost of thier lives to save human lives from the deadly infection . He said earlier also some efficient doctors including Dr Shabir, working under NHM, have become the prey of dreaded pandemic and has demanded that the LG administration should provide all the necessary protection measures to save the lives of front line doctors and paramedical staff fighting the Pandemic.
While praying for eternal peace to the departed soul of Dr Ashraf, Hakeem Yaseen said his contribution as a noble medical practitioner will be remembered for long.

Hakeem Yaseen has urged the government to provide extra incentives and social security to all medical and paramedical personnel including those engaged on contractual basis under National Health Mission (NHM) , who are on the front line in battle against COVID 19.

Hakeem Yaseen has once upon appealed to the Prime Minister Narinder Modi and the new Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha to regularize services of National Health Mission (NHM) employees of jammu and kashmir who are working shoulder to shoulder with regular medical professionals to provide best possible medicare facilities to the people and are working as front line warriors against existing Coronavirus pandemic in various hospitals of the jammu and kashmir Union Territory. He said both central and state governments should concede to the long pending demand of the NHM employees of jammu and kashmir to regularise their services . He said it was high time for the new L G of Union territory of jammu and kashmir to rise to the occasion and regularise of the NHM employees . He said, in view of the outstanding performance of NHM employees , in the betterment of health care delivery system , thier services have already been regularised in many other states of the country . He said denial of the genuine demands of NHM employees especially their regularisation , amounts to usurping thier basic rights and right to equal wages for equal work, guaranteed under the Constitution of India.
Hakeem Yaseen said NHM employees and other contractual and daily rated workers of the jammu and kashmir union territory have pinned high hopes with the new LG of jammu and kashmir to regularise their services with out further delay and bring thier services at par with other regular employees of the jammu and kashmir union territory. He said employees working under National Health Mission since last more than ten years without regularisation of their services see their future very uncertain and are confronted with severe scychological stress(KNS)
