Srinagar, July 11 (KNS) : Commemorating the martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), the Jammu & Kashmir Anjuman-e-Sharie Shian organised Majalis-e-Aza and mourning processions across various parts of the Kashmir Valley. The central and largest congregation was held at Shalimar, Srinagar, where, following the conclusion of the Majlis-e-Hussaini (AS), a grand Zuljanah procession was taken out from the residence of Haji Mohammad Maqbool Kima at Arah Bal, Shalimar, under the leadership of the President of the Anjuman, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safvi.
The procession passed peacefully through its designated route before culminating at Imambara Gulshan Ali, Shalimar, where thousands of mourners (Azadars) paid solemn tribute to Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS) with profound reverence and devotion.
Addressing the massive gathering at Bagh-e-Zainab (SA), Shalimar, Hujjat-ul-Islam wal-Muslimeen Aga Syed Hassan Mosavi Al-Safvi delivered an in-depth scholarly and spiritual interpretation of the celebrated Ayat al-Nur (Verse 35 of Surah Al-Nur), describing it as a comprehensive Qur'anic exposition of Divine guidance, the exalted station of the Holy Prophet Hazrat Muhammad Mustafa (PBUH), and the sublime status of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Aga Syed Hassan explained that the phrase "Allah is the Light of the heavens and the earth" signifies the Divine Light that serves as the ultimate source of guidance for all creation. Referring to narrations transmitted from the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS), he stated that the Qur'anic symbols of the niche (Mishkat), lamp (Misbah), glass (Zujajah), and the blessed tree (Shajarah Mubarakah) are interpreted as representing the luminous personalities of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his purified Ahl al-Bayt (AS). He further stated that the expression "Light upon Light" (Nurun 'Ala Nur) denotes the uninterrupted chain of Divine guidance through the infallible Imams (AS), extending to Imam al-Mahdi (AJTF), affirming that the earth can never remain devoid of Allah's Proof (Hujjah).

Paying glowing tribute to Hazrat Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), Aga Syed Hassan stated that in the aftermath of the tragedy of Karbala, the Fourth Imam preserved and propagated the message of Ashura through his unparalleled patience, steadfastness, devotion, profound insight, and fearless articulation of truth. He observed that had Imam Sajjad (AS) not undertaken the monumental responsibility of conveying the objectives and sacrifices of Karbala, the tragedy might have remained merely a painful chapter of history. Instead, he said, Ashura has become an enduring and universal symbol of truth, justice, human dignity, freedom, and resistance against tyranny.
He further remarked that the collective struggle of the Imams of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS) was fundamentally aimed at safeguarding Islam and the Muhammadan Shariah from distortion, deviation, and political manipulation. Urging the Muslim Ummah to adopt the teachings of Imam Zain-ul-Abidin (AS), he called upon believers to embody the values of patience, perseverance, insight, and exemplary character in their personal and collective lives, while striving to understand the Holy Qur'an in the light of the teachings of the Ahl al-Bayt (AS).
Concluding his address, Aga Syed Hassan prayed that Almighty Allah grant the Muslim Ummah steadfastness in the love and obedience of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and his purified Ahl al-Bayt (AS), bless the believers with the honour of serving the sacred cause of Imam Hussain (AS) and preserving the tradition of Azadari, and grant them the intercession of Muhammad (PBUH) and Aal-e-Muhammad (AS) on the Day of Judgement.
