Srinagar, Oct 27 (KNS): Congress leader Kadfeen Choudhary on Tuesday has urged the government to listen to the plight of aggrieved casual labourers and daily wagers of PHE who are protesting for the fulfilment of their demands for days.

Kadfeen said that it is ironic that the government has adopted an indifferent attitude towards the grievances of these youth who have been battling all odds while discharging their duties against meagre wages. Kadfeen termed it as a worst human rights violation being committed by the government against these poor daily rated workers who are being denied the wages and their woes have been left unaddressed for years together.

The Congress leader said that their families have been left in lurch for no fault and it is beyond one’s understanding why the government is making these people suffer so sadistically.

Kadfeen demanded that the issues pertaining to the PHE’s causal labourers and daily wagers must be addressed on priority and the government must walk the talk as it keeps beating the trumpet of peoples’ empowerment and eradication of their woes.(KNS)
