Srinagar Nov 14 (KNS) Congress General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi on Monday slammed the Government education Policy & emphasizing it to reconsider the decision announcing Winter Vacation according to the weather conditions.
Speaking to media Surinder Singh Channi said that many Parents are in touch with him & they are aghast with this decision of LG Government.
He said that many upper regions of Valley are already gripped with cold waves & it is really difficult for students as well as staff to attend schools.
He stated that its the job of Government to announce vacations and leaving it upon principals to decide is totally baseless.
Understanding the Fact that education is important for the students he urged the Government to go for online classes instead of offline as the winters are harsh in Kashmir Valley & such decisions can affect the physical as well as mental health of students.
Kashmir & Jammu are two different regions with different climatic conditions so keeping the topography of J&K in consideration the Government should take decisions which are favourable for people living in both the regions, he added.(KNS)
