Baramulla, September 13(KNS): Department of Urdu, Government Degree College for Baramulla organized a day long mushaira on corruption in which renowned poets of the area participated.

Programme was organised under 'Teacher Enrichment Programme' wherein Deputy Commissioner Baramulla Dr G N Itoo was invited as the chief guest.

SSP Baramulla Abdul Quyoom, Principal GDC, various prominent stakeholders among others were present on the ocassion.

On the ocassion, the poets highlighted the ill consequences of corruption through their literary works. They also signified the role of various stakeholders towards the eradication od this menace.

Speaking on the occasion, DC complimented the participants and highlights the ill consequences on the socio-economic fabric of the society. He also highlighted the role of various stakeholders and urged to play their part in eradicating this evil. Moreover, he said that administration is committed towards providing transparent and hassle free public services.(KNS)
