Srinagar, Mar 03 (KNS): Former IAS officer and National Conference nominee for Gulmarg assembly constituency Farooq Ahmad Shah on Sunday said he choose to give up government job and take up politics to serve people of his own constituency better.
As per Kashmir News Service (KNS) correspondent Mushtaq-ul-Hassan, addressing National Conference workers at Tangmarg Shah said that though he had two more years of active service as Secretary to government but limitations in government service always restrict the role of individuals in fast tracking development in areas and sectors of his own choice.
Saying that he joined politics at the insistence of the respectables of his area, Shah asked the party workers to strengthen National Conference at the grass roots as this is the party headed by a dynamic youth leader Omar Abdullah known for his vision and foresight on the future and development of Jammu and Kashmir state.
