Bandipora, June 20 (KNS): Residents of Arampora in north Kashmir's Bandipora district have raised serious concerns over the mounting garbage along a roadside stretch, terming the situation a major health and safety hazard for the local population.
Locals told news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) that household waste is being openly dumped at multiple points along the road, leading to unhygienic conditions. Commuters, particularly schoolchildren and pedestrians, are facing severe difficulties while using the route.
"The waste accumulation has led to a sharp increase in the number of stray dogs in the area.
