Srinagar, July 29 (KNS): In order to curb the illegal mining in district shopian,the District Mineral Officer Shopian along with Joint Director Kashmir and Deputy Director (MS)Geology and Mining department visited the field on Wednesdays.
According to the statement During the field inspection, many ramps made by the illegal extractors for carrying the river bed material were cut down.
The officials,officers will continue such practice in future too to check the menace of illegal mining. The field officials have been directed to keep a complete vigil on the illegal mining and report the same so that appropriate and deterrent actions will be taken to check illegal minor mineral extraction in district.
