Ganderbal September 13:(KNS) Continuing its efforts to eradicate the menace of drugs from the society, Ganderbal Police along with teams of Excise and Taxation & Municipal authorities destroyed bung cultivation in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ganderbal.

The team under the supervision of DySP Hqrs and headed by SHO Police Station Ganderbal along with teams of Excise and Taxation and Municipal authorities destroyed bung cultivation spread over 12 Kanals of waste/barren land including stream banks of Sindh Nallah in the areas of Saloora, Rishipora, Fatehpora and Shadipora.

General public of the area have appreciated the action of Ganderbal police and have urged to continue such drive in nearby areas also.

Community members are requested to come forward with any information regarding cultivation of contrabands in their neighbourhood. Persons found indulging in drug peddling & cultivation of contraband substances shall be dealt as per law.

Our consistent actions against such anti-social elements should reassure the community members that we are making efforts to keep our society free from the scourge of drug menace.(KNS)
