Ganderbal Police books Covid-19 positive shopkeeper for defying Govt orders


Ganderbal September 11:(KNS) Acting tough against the violators of Govt orders, Police have booked a Covid-19 positive shopkeeper for violating Govt orders in Ganderbal.

The accused has been identified as Jalal-ud-din Najar son of Mohammad Sidiq Najar resident of Giraj Ganderbal. Officers came to know that the accused despite being Covid-l9 positive patient violated the SOPs/ guidelines issued by the District Administration and opened his shop at Taj Complex Beeharna Ganderbal. The said shopkeeper who as per the directions/guidelines had to home quarantine himself to prevent the spread of disease but he failed to do so.

Accordingly, a case vide FIR No.196/2020 under relevant sections of law has been registered in Police Station Ganderbal and further investigation into the case has been initiated.

Police have once again requested the general public to follow the directions issued by Government in order to prevent the spread of Covid-19. Also, persons found violating Government orders will be dealt as per law.(KNS)
