Srinagar May 29, 2020. The Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) today felicitated people on the auspicious occasion of Mela Khir Bhawani and prayed for peace, stability and prosperity of the people.
In a statement issued to KNS, JKPCC President G.A. Mir has felicitated people especially Kashmiri Pandit brethren on the very auspicious occasion of Mela Khir Bhavani and described the occasion as unique, manifestation of the age-old tradition of togetherness and communal harmony in Jammu and Kashmir.
Mela Khir Bhawani is a momentous occasion in the history of Kashmir, reflecting the diversity, love and respect for each other irrespective of colour or religion, besides showing us the path of friendship and unity.
I hope this auspicious occasion will usher in an era of peace and prosperity, bringing smile on the faces of the people in Jammu, Kashmir and Ladakh, Mir said.
The occasion will be the harbinger of development and safety of the people, he added and said Mela Khir Bhawani will continue to lead us at the path of righteousness and truthfulness, Mir said. (KNS)
