Seeks movement passes

Srinagar, May 26 (KNS):Jammu and Kashmir Private Schools Coordination Committee (JKPSCC) Monday said that furnishing various data to the school administration is not possible without the presence of staff at the schools.

In a statement issued to KNS, President JKPSCC Schowkat M Chowdhary said the School Education Department has been seeking several data from private schools which is possible only if staff is allowed to reach school and compile the required date.

In this regard, Chowdhary said Education Chamber had held a meeting with the Principal Secretary School Education Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon and explained their position to which he had issued an order stating that the movement passes may be issued to schools so that minimum staff can be available at schools for administrative works.

Chowdhary said though teachers have been continuously working and providing online classes to the students from their respective homes.

“Dr. Asgar Hassan Samoon patiently listened to our problems and issued an order that 4 to 5 movement passes may be issued to each school to help them ferry staff who can compile all necessary data.”

“We have already applied for the passes with the district administration but so far we have not received any. We urge District Development Commissioner that the passes may be issued forthwith so that schools can furnish the required data.”

He said the teachera regularly provide study material to students and also assess and conduct exams.

“Our class work were not affected as teachers and other staff continued to work and kept students busy with academic subjects.”(KNS)
