Shah Faesal says party ready to contest assembly polls even if announced tomorrow

Srinagar, Mar 27 (KNS): Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) leader, Javaid Mustafa Mir who also served as cabinet minister Wednesday joined the record maker IAS topper Shah Faesal’s newly launched Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Movement (JKPM), political outfit in Srinagar.

Javaid Mir along with dozens of his workers joined JKPM today at JKPM’s head office in Rajbagh Srinagar during which the party president Shah Faesal and Mir addressed a media persons.

Mir had resigned from the PDP on January 6 this year.

However, Mir continued to remain tight-lipped over his dissidence with the PDP as he didn’t utter a single word over the grounds for which he left the party.

Mir had earlier stated that he will consult his followers about his future course of action.

Today, Mir joined JKPM in Srinagar and told media persons that the party led by Shah Faesal whom he called his younger brother will try to do something new for the people beyond the routine politics.

Mir said that he has taken several initiatives in the past for the welfare of the people of his constituency and will continue to work for the people here.

Shah Faesal in the beginning of the presser, welcomed the Javaid Mir as entrant to his newly launched party and said that the party with Mir’s joining will get further strengthened on the grass roots level.

Moreover, Shah said that they didn’t contest the parliamentary elections as the party was launched recently here, however, he said that they are ready to contest assembly polls even if it will be announced tomorrow.

Shah and Mir were accompanied by many of JKPM leaders including student leader-turned-politician Shaila Rasheed, Chasfeeda Shah and others. (KNS)
