Jammu, September 08:(KNS)  Former Deputy Inspector General (DIG) and a well-known Kashmiri Pandit police officer of J&K Police Jawahar Lal Pandita (JKPS) passed away yesterday after a brief illness at his home in Sunjwan, Jammu. His last rites were performed today.

He is survived by his sons Dr Pintoo Pandita, Advocate Rakesh Pandita and Er Rohit Pandita.

JL Pandita was uncle of Er. Rockey Pandita, Ex-PRO to MoS Education Priya Sethi.

JL Pandita was the elder brother of well-known Kashmiri Pandit activist Late Advocate Badri Nath Pandita of Chingund, Dooru, Kashmir.

Meanwhile many social and other organisations of Kashmiri Pandits as well as senior officers of police department have condoled the demise of JL Pandita and expressed condolences to his sons and Rockey Pandita.(KNS)
